Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla

Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will be returning to rule the ramp after a gap of four years with their designs 'ALMOST 24', which they will be showcasing on the finale day of '2010 Delhi Couture Week'.

The designer duo will complete their 25 years in business in 2011, and the title is an ode to this landmark.

'This is 21st Century India in all her myriad glory' says the designer duo, even while talking about the inspiration behind the collection. 'Its timeless elegance meets here and now, in your face, rock chick glamour. There's all the tehzeeb of the past tinged with a tongue in cheek nonchalance. Its classical meets contemporary. The Projekt M – Madhu Jain Milind Soman carpet which has been specifically designed for 'People For Animals' is inspired by a rare "Upada" motif from Andhra Pradesh called "Dance of the Bulls". Upada is an ancient weaving technique synonymous to the West Godavari region of Andhra.  (BCCL)
